Highlights
Bio
My name is Gavin Pedone, and I am a senior right-handed SSDM and two-way midfielder at Robert Morris University. I am using my final year of eligibility as a graduate student for the 2027–28 season, and I am looking for the most competitive lacrosse programs with excellent MBA programs.
I have been a starter since my freshman year and was added to the ASUN All-Freshman Team in 2024. In 2025 I was named First Team All-NEC as an SSDM. In 2026 I was awarded RMU's Male Juice of the Year award, which goes to the one individual who exemplified outstanding leadership and energy in the weight room among all male athletes at RMU. I have played in 45 of 51 games, only missing six due to injuries. I have a 3.65 GPA, I am majoring in finance, and I have been named a conference academic honor roll member three consecutive years.

CPN Evaluation
Gavin is a right-handed short-stick defensive midfielder and two-way middie who has started at the Division I level since his freshman year. His value shows up in the possession game: 74 career ground balls and 10 caused turnovers across 45 appearances, with First Team All-NEC recognition as an SSDM in 2025 and an ASUN All-Freshman Team selection in 2024. At 5'10" and 190 pounds he covers his man without needing help, and because he can carry and finish with either hand he is a genuine two-way option rather than a defensive specialist who has to come off at the midline. Durability is part of the profile: he has played 45 of a possible 51 games. His teammates and staff recognized the way he sets the tone, naming him RMU's 2026 Male Juice of the Year, an award given to the one male athlete across the entire department who best exemplified leadership and energy in the weight room.
The athletic tools behind that are not in question. Gavin was a standout youth football player who walked away from the sport entering high school to focus on lacrosse. After he committed to Robert Morris he went back out for football as a senior, his first season since eighth grade. He made First Team All-State at fullback and helped Wheaton Academy reach the state semifinals for the first time in a decade. Four years away from the game, and inside one season he was among the best in the state at it.
College Pathway Network projects Gavin as an immediate-impact fifth-year addition for a Division I program that needs a proven cover man in the midfield and a veteran voice in the locker room. He is equally serious about the academic side of the decision. He is a finance major with a 3.65 GPA, three consecutive years on the conference academic honor roll and RMU Dean's List recognition, and he is specifically seeking a program that pairs competitive Division I lacrosse with a strong MBA.
